Threefold Capital's first investment: House of Pickle Botany
In September 2026 Threefold Capital became a shareholder in House of Pickle Botany Pty Ltd, the company developing a seven court indoor pickleball club in Botany, Sydney, and took on the role of operating investor.
Threefold Capital Pty Ltd has made its first investment. In September 2026 the firm became a shareholder in House of Pickle Botany Pty Ltd, the company developing an indoor pickleball club in Botany, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
The business
House of Pickle Botany will trade under the House of Pickle name and run on House of Pickle's systems. According to House of Pickle's published details, the club will have seven purpose built indoor courts, a licensed venue and parking on site, and will open from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. The licensed venue is subject to liquor licensing.
The club is being fitted out now. Opening is targeted for the first week of December 2026, subject to the fit out and the necessary approvals.
Our role
Threefold Capital's involvement has three parts:
- a shareholding in House of Pickle Botany Pty Ltd
- a seat on the company's board
- an operating role at the club for one of our directors, who will be there day to day once it opens
House of Pickle provides the brand and the systems the club runs on. The terms of the investment are private. We do not publish the amount invested or the size of our shareholding.
Why we invested
We invested for two reasons. The club will run on a model that House of Pickle already operates at other venues in Australia. And the role came with work attached: a seat on the board and an operating position at the club, which is the kind of involvement Threefold Capital was set up to provide.
What happens next
The immediate priority is completing the fit out and preparing the club to open. We will report progress in the Newsroom, and the House of Pickle Botany page shows the current status and milestones.
