Established in Sydney in 2026 by three founding directors.

We are based in St Leonards and concentrate on businesses within reach of Sydney, where we can be present rather than watch from a distance.

Our philosophy

We invest where we can contribute more than capital.

  • Understand the business

    We invest in businesses whose economics we can explain: where the revenue comes from, what it costs to deliver and what could go wrong.

  • Own with responsibility

    We seek a part in governance, such as a seat on the board, wherever it is appropriate. We read the numbers, ask questions early and stand behind our decisions as owners.

  • Think in years

    We judge a business on how it performs over years rather than quarters, and we invest with the intention of holding what we buy.

House of Pickle Botany

Threefold Capital became a shareholder in House of Pickle Botany Pty Ltd in September 2026. As the operating investor we hold a seat on the company's board, and one of our directors will be at the club day to day once it opens. House of Pickle provides the brand and the systems the club will run on.

How we work

Four stages, from the first conversation to active ownership.

  1. Assess

    We test the business model, the financial records and the risks before any terms are discussed.

  2. Structure

    Ownership, governance rights and responsibilities are agreed in writing before capital is committed.

  3. Govern

    We take up our board seat, review performance regularly and raise issues while they are still small.

  4. Operate

    Where we take an operating role, we work on the detail: planning, staffing, costs and performance.
